Your Ceremony, Your Way…
Here at The Old Library, we believe that a wedding should be the perfect reflection and celebration of the couple choosing to commit the rest of their lives to each other.
Whether you want a civil, celebrant or humanist ceremony with us – the choice is yours. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and have a great relationship with the Birmingham Registry Office, if you need advice on how to book your registrar we will be happy to help. If you choose to get legally married elsewhere you also have the option of having a humanist or celebrant ceremony with us. These types of ceremonies are perfect for couples who want a more personalised and laid-back service in our surroundings.

You can rest assured that your guests will be amazed by our beautiful venue. It’s original gothic Victorian windows, soaring high beamed ceiling and three grand archways exude a romantic atmosphere that will put your guests in the perfect mood for watching your special moment. Up to 130 of your friends and family can be seated in The Old Library. It's also not just human family that can attend your wedding ceremony with us - we are proud to be a pet friendly venue!
You are free to decorate your ceremony however you would like. You can either have an external décor company come in and perfect your set-up for you or go even more personal and do it yourself. Whatever option you go for, you will have access from 10am on the day of your wedding, or 2pm the day before if we do not have another booking (this can’t be confirmed until 2 weeks before your date). The beauty of our venue is that it is a blank canvas – any colour scheme or theme will work in The Old Library.

Our friendly and experienced team of wedding coordinators are always on hand to answer any questions you may have. You will be invited to at least three meetings in the run up to your big day, where you will be guided step-by-step through all the timings of the event and to chat through your catering, décor, and entertainment choices. We will be on hand right through from enquiry, to your wedding, and post-wedding.
